Just when I thought that I was done
finnegwyn
First I want to thankethicalcannibal for all the updates while I was in the hospital. This was one of my shorter stays, I was only in for a day.

When they checked me in they were worried about three things.
1.Kidney Stone/infection
2. pocket of fluid in my abdomin
3. possible problems with major vanes going to my liver

The second two where ruled out as major problems rather quickly, they want my regular docs to continue to monitor these issues.
The kidney stone was there major focus. My kidney was really inflamed, and they were worried that my kidney function was at risk. So yesterday morning the put in a stint so that the afor mentioned kidney could drain and heal itself. The stone is about 2 cm long and is clogging the canal just before it enters into my bladder. They are going to wait a few weeks to let my kidney heal then they are going to take out the stint and then lazer the stone to break it up.

I feel loads better now, pain is greatly diminished. Let me tell you Ive been through a lot of pain in my life, and this by far was the worst. I was in tears. Im taking the rest of the week off to recoop, and I'm also taking this as a sign that I need to slow my ass down.

I want to thank all of you for all your well wishes. And I hope that this will be my last hospital stay for a while.

I'm glad that you're feeling better. I have heard the same thing about kidney stones. I have known many women who have given birth without painkillers who developed kidney stones later in life, and they all said they'd rather give birth.

I have had a lot of kidney problems in my life, and feel fortunate that I have yet to get a stone *knock on wood*. Sorry you had to go through that, though. I hope breaking it up goes well.

Cheers.

Thanks for the happy thoughts! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!
